Create an itinerary including Kabwata Cultural Village
Get an overview of Zambian handicrafts at Kabwata Cultural Village, a traditional-style trade center with thatched-roof huts. With 80 resident artists from nine Zambian provinces, the village offers a good variety of wood carvings, weaved baskets, bijou, masks, drums, and traditionally designed fabrics. A remnant and reminder of the colonial era when this area was dotted with similar dwellings, the center was purchased by the Zambian government in an effort to preserve the region's traditional lifestyle. You can observe craftsman working on their products, and during the holidays the site features live performers. You'll find a traditional restaurant in the village as well. • It's not a proper museum, But it's one of the good places to visit in Zambia, Local people are traditionally selling their local items, Don't forget to Bargain before buying things from them. One's they know you are an International traveller price will be double or triple. All the people in the village are very friendly .Also you can see a traditional home and more things...
  • Varities of craft materials and show pieces. If bargained they give discounts. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit❤️
