Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: make a trip to Via San Gregorio Armeno, then contemplate the long history of Lupanar, then admire the natural beauty at Villa Comunale, and finally make a trip to Promenade Trieste.

Rome — 39 nights

Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Explore Rome's surroundings by going to Sicily Rome American Cemetery and Memorial (in Nettuno), Tivoli (Chiesa di Santa Maria Maggiore, Villa d'Este, &more) and Piste da Fondo Cinque Confini (in Monte Terminillo). Dedicate the 26th (Wed) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's still lots to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Pantheon, don't miss a visit to Trevi Fountain, wander the streets of Trastevere, and contemplate the long history of Colosseum.
