Getting from Sigatoka to Suva by flight takes about 2 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 32°C in May, and nighttime lows around 24°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 16th (Fri) to allow time to fly to Taveuni Island.

Known as the Garden Island, Taveuni is a tropical paradise of tall mountains draped in lush rainforest, filled with delicate wildflowers and colorful birds, and dotted with cascading waterfalls.

You can fly from Suva to Taveuni Island in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can ride a ferry. Plan for somewhat warmer nights when traveling from Suva in May since evenings lows in Taveuni Island dip to 31°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 19th (Mon) early enough to catch the bus to Savusavu.

You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Scuba & Snorkeling and Nakawaga Waterfall. Get outdoors at Vuadomo Village and Waterfall and Waisali Rainforest Reserve.

You can take a bus from Taveuni Island to Savusavu in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry and bus; or fly. In May in Savusavu, expect temperatures between 32°C during the day and 32°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Thu) early enough to travel to Mana Island.
