Norway's capital city, Oslo boasts a thousand years of history and a diverse mix of architecture that blends old, new, and ultra-modern.
On the 1st (Fri), stroll around Vigeland Park, then admire the masterpieces at Vigeland Museum, and then contemplate the long history of Akershus Castle and Fortress (Akershus Slott og Festning).

Zurich, Switzerland to Oslo is an approximately 5.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of car and train. Prepare for little chillier weather when traveling from Zurich in September: high temperatures in Oslo hover around 19°C and lows are around 7°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Sat) to allow enough time to fly to Longyearbyen.
