Tynset — 13 nights
Tynset is a municipality in Hedmark county, Norway. Step off the beaten path and head to Gutulia nasjonalpark and The Church at Kvikne. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Tynset: Oppdal (Oppdalsmuseet & Groenbakken trail), Vestre Sorken Gardmuseum (in Drevsjo) and Strømbu (in Folldal Municipality). There's much more to do: examine the collection at Husantunet, pause for some photo ops at The World’s Largest Kick Sled, go deep underground at Folldal Gruver, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Tynset Church.
To see other places to visit, maps, traveler tips, and tourist information, refer to the Tynset trip planner.
If you are flying in from Sweden, the closest major aiport is Trondheim Airport Værnes. In June, daily temperatures in Tynset can reach 15°C, while at night they dip to 4°C.
