  • Majestic entrance walking from the historic isthmus of Peñiscola, the Gibraltar of Valencia. Notice the coat of arms of Papa Luna in the center--during times of plague or siege the city would close off this entrance (unfortunately they didn't shut the door during Coronavirus :) The walk up begins here on an incline, be careful because it can be slippery.
  • The Porta de Sant Pere is one of the two usual entrances to visit the Castle and the old city of Peñíscola. It is an entrance with a wide and low arch that goes from side to side of the cobbled slope. I love it, and it is one of the first places where visitors usually stop to take pictures. Don't pass by, it's very pretty!
