  • A quick boat trip and a relaxing hike brings you to an excellent beach. A fun trip for any age and the beach is excellent for relaxing if you are lucky enough with the weather!

  • Beautiful white sand beach, classic Lofoten experience with towering peaks around and not too many people (even though a lot of people take the ferry from Reine). It's a short hike from Vindstad (around an hour one way), where the ferry takes you from Reine. Just watch out with this latter, as the guys are notoriously known for not sticking to the advertised time schedule (my departure from Reine was 10 mins ahead of schedule as the boat was already full, whilst the the boat back from Vindstad departed 20 mins earlier - probably not ideal for those that didn't make it as early as that). Bunes is also great for camping: for that I'd recommend the first tent pitch places just after descending on the beach, as the ones on the right side are less level, and the places on left side (above that little red hut) are way too exposed to the winds coming from the ocean. For those that have some time, Helvetestinden (the peak above the beach accessible in 90 mins one way) is also a must-do.
  • Stunning beach. During daytime a bit overcrowded, but in the evening it is relatively quiet with only a handful of tents... epic sunsets! Better to camp on the rim before the beach instead of on the beach itself.
