At 22 July Centre, learn about the aftermath of the terrorist attack from 22 July 2011 in the site where the attack started--the government building complex. The tragic event is presented chronologically through texts, photographs, surveillance footage, filmed interviews with survivals, and other evidence collected during the police investigation. You can still see the damage from the explosion both inside and outside the building. The most poignant part of the exhibit is the room dedicated to 77 people killed in the attack. Founded on the initiative of survivors and relatives of deceased, the center focuses on the solidarity in the days following the attack, and the subsequent trial. We wandered into this area unexpectedly. Very moving memorial and obviously very significant to Norwegians. Worth stopping by.
