Create an itinerary including The Seven Sisters
Rising high above the coastline, The Seven Sisters showcases seven separate streams of water, all of which descend into a fjord. Legend says that the unmarried sisters turned into stone while pursuing a fiery horseman they fell in love with. A single waterfall called "the suitor" sits directly across from the fjord, as if courting the sisters. You can appreciate the beauty of this landscape from the deck of a cruise ship or from the seat of a bike, but many visitors choose to feel the might of the waterfalls by hiking along well-marked trails. The view from the highest fall, measuring 250 m (820 ft), provides the widest panoramic view of numerous islands, islets, and rocky reefs, as well as of the north hills and mountain peaks. • It had rained all day so when our cruise ship sailed passed the waterfall we could see all 7 of the waterfalls. It was very beautiful.

  • We rented a motor boat, so we got in close under the falls. These are not very powerful falls, but rather quiet without a massive spray. It seems as if the water on the cliff simply spills below...

  • 📍Seven Sister’s Waterfall 📸@NateZeth - powerful feeling of experience this waterfall from the fjords of Geiranger. Amazing how tall the waterfall is and drops straight into the fjords. There’s a lot of other attractions nearby as well.
  • One of our top highlights from our summer 2022 trip to Norway. We took an awesome rib boat tour from Geiranger with RIB Geiranger - Fjordsafari Geirangerfjord
