Create an itinerary including Acquario dell'Elba
Become acquainted with the over 150 species of Mediterranean fauna that call Acquario dell'Elba home. Located on an island, the aquarium is small and private, a more intimate experience than that of the larger, publicly funded institutions. Visit the attraction to gaze into rows of more than 100 small tanks. A special point of pride is its diverse and complete collection of Mediterranean marine life--including fish, lobsters, shrimp, crabs, octopuses, sea stars, turtles, and one very big sea snail. Of particular mention is the shark exhibition, including nurse sharks, whitetip reef sharks, and camouflaging carpet sharks. • During our holiday we had a couple of rainy days... but one of them we went to the Acquarius and it was an exciting experience, especially for the youngest of our child!

  • Great place for kids. Lots of sea creatures to see. They even have a small "ancient" LEGO exposition. And there is a resort with a bar right next to the aquarium if you get thirsty. Parking might be an issue during busy hours though.
  • We were very disappointed of this place. Too many animals in small aquariums and many of them in poor condition, some dead or in the process of dying. Also the educational value is very low since most of the tanks are mislabeled. Some tanks are used to display lego sets, which is not what we came for. We left the place after 15 minutes, very sad for the animals and shocked by the poor quality of the aquarium.
