  • One of the largest religious edifices ever built in France, the famous Gothic cathedral of Amiens is certainly worth a visit. I journeyed there as a day trip and it is an easy walk from the train...

  • A truly stunning cathedral that is one of the best in the world. The size and scale are hard to express in writing. The architectural design is breathtaking both inside and outside. A tour is not needed as you can enter for free and take as many photos as you wish. The stations of the cross and shrines provide historical information to read in French. There is information on the Christian group in multiple languages for you to read. The pictures give you a glimpse of its marvel, but you really need to go to experience it. It is less than 2 hours from Paris and worth the travel. There are also many good cafes and restaurants nearby to rest.
  • One of the most beautiful carhedrals in France, and the biggest although not the highest. Well preserved. A step back in history. Organ is being restored.
