Trek through the rugged rainforest landscape to reach Titou Gorge, the site of two cascading waterfalls among the rocky canyons. The trails take you through the Morne Trois Piton National Park, surrounding you with exotic plant life. Distant sprays of water cool you off as you come closer to the falls. Middleham Falls features water falling from 86 m (280 ft) into a natural pool that you can swim in. Titou Gorge however requires you to swim up the gorge to reach the top of the waterfall inside the canyon. Expect a moderately difficult trek and wear appropriate footwear. Tough hike for us older folks, recommend guide, scary crawl over rocks to get to pool at the base of the falls, but totally exhilarating.

Bring your water shoes, mask/goggles and waterproof bag or camera case. Awesome swim with a life vest/belt (they have them there) is a must. The water is so refreshing and cool. Be careful as you climb into the falls basin as the water is moving quickly, so make sure you have a good footing. No liability clauses here as it should be. Just use your common sense about your ability.

Very cool place in Dominica. It's easier if you wear a life jacket. That way you can float and take pictures.
