Standley Chasm Angkerle
While on the Larapinta Trail, take a short break at Standley Chasm Angkerle, a café and gift shop serving full meals, light snacks, drinks, and ice cream. This kiosk is located inside a nature reserve owned and operated by descendants of indigenous tribes who have lived in this area for millennia. The chasm, a popular tourist destination, is a narrow, deep canyon teeming with wildlife, especially birds. A trail through the chasm, which starts at the kiosk, was also developed and built by the indigenous people. You can use the kiosk’s picnic and barbecue areas after or before you complete this short walk, but be sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and watch your step as you climb this rocky terrain. Make Standley Chasm Angkerle a centerpiece of your West MacDonnell National Park vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our West MacDonnell National Park trip maker site.

Awesomeness. Plenty of photo opportunities... Great walk, turned out to be shorter than expected. the pleasant cafe had plenty of yum food to choose from too.

Nature at it's best, an easy walk to a spectacular view. For the more adventurous you can walk to the top for a different perspective, but it's recommended you have hiking experience as the steep climb involves loose rocks
