Trip Planner: South Pacific / Australia / Queensland / Cairns Region / Palm Cove / Palm Cove Beach
Palm Cove Beach is noted for its long stretch of white sand lined by tall palm trees. Located in a small village once used as a resting stop by the famous Captain Cook, this pristine beach is a major tourist attraction due to its proximity to the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree National Park. lifeguards patrol year-round and can direct you to safe swimming spots along the coast. Make sure to stop by the Palm Cove jetty, one of the region's most popular fishing spots, where anglers regularly catch species such as mackerel, giant trevally, and shark. Nearby are dozens of shops, restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlors, and pubs, open conveniently late into the night. Heaven on earth. This is an absolute must visit place/beach in Australia. Beautiful town with great eateries and weather is just amazing. About 20 minutes drive from Cairns, this probably tops my recommendation to stay while you are in north Queensland surpassing Port Douglas and Cairns. For peace lovers from romantic couple to loving family holiday, Palm Cove is just LOVE
We were up before the Sun to do the Sunrise Kayak Turtle Tour. Oh wow, this was an amazing experience. The waters were calm and the weather so perfect. Highly recommend doing this, Andy was our guide, and with little experience at kayaking before, we felt safe. I took these photos with my phone, Which I had in the pocket of the life vest, so it was easy to get to.
