Showcases a magnificent range of local minerals. The establishment is run by council and is full of history and information on the towns minerals and mining. Examples of the minerals are displayed with timeline stories. I loved it.

Professionally prepared and presented mineral specimens, informative displays and videos, friendly and knowledgeable staff. There are boulder size specimens in the backyard and pebbles I looked at by microscope. A must have for anyone even remotely interested in geology, science, minerals and crystals or mining.
