St Peter's Cathedral, Armidale, Armidale

Another significant religious building in Armidale. It is rather convenient that the major churches are all about a block from each other. The side door is open most of the day. Pop in and reflect. No need to be of faith.

Lovely Anglican Cathedral that has Hunt architecture. A good found system. Heated in winter. Still possible but get less and less to actually have hymns not song and once a month they have choral evensong. Just watch some of the services such as Sunday 6pm can get a bit happy clappers type atmosphere. As a Cathedral they get young ministers some of whom take a while to adapt to a High Church traditional Cathedral. Lots of activities to cater from young kids to Seniors plus a Mother's Union group. Scope to become involved in many aspects from grounds,garden committee to altar guild plus parish camps,training sessions plus the many committees that run the day to day activities.
