Part of one of the world's Seven Natural Wonders, North Rim Visitor Center provides an inspiring and remarkable landscape without the massive crowds of the South Rim. Begin your trip at the visitor center, where you can pick up maps and brochures, talk to a ranger, and view exhibits about the canyon. One of the best ways to experience all that the North Rim has to offer is a hike through its wild and breathtaking scenery. If you'd rather not get that much exercise, cruise the scenic drive. Temperatures here are generally lower than the South Rim due to its greater elevation, so bring a sweater. North Rim guided mule treks are easier to book than South Rim mule trips, which generally must be booked 13 months in advance. North Rim Visitor Center Reviews
Pictures don't do this area justice. It is amazing the size of this area. Had a great time here and lunch was great with views out into the canyon, and got to see a lot of deer on drive out more »
We were all blown away by what we saw at the Grand Canyon! The sheer size and spectacular is mesmerising, it’s hard to understand the size until you see it. You can travel it in a day from Las... more »
I've never been to the South Rim, so I can't offer a comparison. My family and I headed to the North Rim for a quick weekend trip and had a great time there. We spent some time exploring the gift shop and lodge. But best of all, the view of the canyon from the back patio of the lodge is stunning and so peaceful. There were plenty of places to sit back and absorb the beauty, which we did. There are also several little trails and viewpoints to walk out to. Obviously the canyon itself is amazing. And the pizza at the deli was delicious!
Great customer service. Didn't have a great selection of magnets that I liked but did have many magnets. A little pricey but that was expected. Still worthwhile.
