Although out of fashion in the past decades, major revitalization efforts have made a trip to Puerto Plata a growingly popular option for the adventurous travelers.
Step off the beaten path and head to Adrenaline & Extreme Tours and Rancho Lorilar. Step out of the city life by going to Dive Cabarete and Golden Beach (Playa Dorada). Change things up with a short trip to Spas in Cabarete (about 46 minutes away). It doesn't end there: view the masterpieces at Joyeria Las Americas and take a stroll around The Meeting Place.
