City of Light

A modern metropolis of glassy skyscrapers, waterside boulevards, and lush residential neighborhoods, Perth sits on the edge of the Swan Coastal Plain.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Perth: Fremantle (Fremantle Markets, The Fremantle Round House, &more). Dedicate the 30th (Mon) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's lots more to do: stroll around Kings Park and Botanic Garden, tour the pleasant surroundings at Caversham Wildlife Park, steep yourself in history at The Perth Mint, and learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Perth Zoo.
