Sometimes called the Pearl of West Africa, Lome contains a cheerful spirit shown through its bustling street markets where both locals and visitors meet on a regular basis.
Kick off your visit on the 20th (Fri): examine the collection at Musee International du Golfe de Guinee, browse the eclectic array of goods at Grand Marche, then pause for some serene contemplation at Lome Cathedral, then get engrossed in the history at National Museum, and finally don't miss a visit to Monument de l'Independance. Keep things going the next day: contemplate the long history of Tamberma Villages, then have fun at Club Hippique du Togo, then stop by La Civette, and finally contemplate the long history of Lome abandoned bridge.
