Kufa is a city in Iraq, about 170km south of Baghdad, and 10km northeast of Najaf. Kufa is known for historic sites and museums. Karbala is a city in central Iraq, located about 100km southwest of Baghdad, and a few miles east of Lake Milh. Take a break from Karbala with a short trip to Babylon in Al Hillah, about 1h 10 min away.
