The capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, Erbil occupies perhaps the longest-inhabited land in the world, with the earliest human settlement here possibly dating back to 5000 BCE.
Kick off your visit on the 17th (Thu): take in the spiritual surroundings of Mudhafaria Minarett, see the interesting displays at Kurdish Textile Museum, thensteep yourself in history at Erbil Citadel, and finally browse the different shops at Family Mall. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 18th (Fri): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Jalil Khayat and his Children's Mosque and then walk around Sami Abdulrahman Park.
