Considered one of the most cosmopolitan and westernized cities in Iraq, vibrant Sulaymaniyah boasts a strong cultural scene with a good selection of museums and educational institutions.
Kick off your visit on the 8th (Sat): browse the different shops at City Star Mall, get engrossed in the history at Slemani Museum, then examine the collection at Amnasuraka Museum, and finally have fun at Chavi Land. Sitting on flat land between two chains of scenic mountains and close to the Tigris River, Duhok has experienced a growth in tourism in recent years.
