A low-rise, laid-back town of approximately 4,500 inhabitants, Margaret River serves as an ideal local base to explore the surrounding wine region.
Venture out of the city with trips to Augusta (Jewel Cave & Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse). Spend the 29th (Wed) on a tasty journey with a beer tour and tasting. Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Kick off your visit on the 1st (Sat): examine the collection at National Anzac Centre, get great views at Rotary Lookout Albany, thentake in the dramatic natural features at The Gap and Natural Bridge, and finally look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas. On the 2nd (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: make a trip to Albany Wind Farm, thentour the pleasant surroundings at Harewood Forest, and then kick back and relax at Greens Pool.

Exmouth is a town on the tip of the North West Cape in Western Australia. Exmouth is known for wildlife, beaches, and historic sites.
