Surf the waves at Lorient, tucked away on a less crowded part of the island. Popular with surfing enthusiasts, the beach offers onsite board rentals to take advantage of its good conditions. Alternatively, stretch out on the sand under some natural shade. Note that the rough conditions here are less ideal for swimming, though a coral reef keeps the shallower waters relatively calm on the east side. Afterwards, take a walk up the hill from the beach road to see a church built out of hand-carved stones. Try one of the nearby restaurants serving up local cuisine. We took a 4-way taxi that took us to the CEMETERy of LORIENT. We gathered at JOHNNY's grave. I liked the calm of this place, nearby, there is the Church of the Assumption. We bathed at the beach, took a drink at JOJO BURGER (modest place, 3 euros consumption). The taxi picked us up at 3:30 p.m., the return to sea was quieter. Good memory
