In close proximity to the harbor, Shell Beach distinguishes itself with millions of seashells that cover its sand. Overlooked by an old fort, the small lagoon offers a nice spot for swimming, relaxing, and, of course, collecting colorful shells and seaglass. Hang out and have a tasty meal at the popular bar and restaurant on site; sunbathe; or try snorkeling in the crystal clear water. Don't forget to bring sandals or flip-flops, as the shells can be uncomfortable to walk on. Make Shell Beach part of your personalized Gustavia itinerary using our Gustavia trip planner .

It's hard to park in the middle of the season, valet for 15euros. The sea is clearly clear. Possility to eat at the Schellona style hut but expensive, the prices are substantial but you can take only an entry in the 20euros, the glass of wine is expensive 12 euros! Very, sympatic staff
They reserve chairs all day for people who aren't going to show up for many hours. Chairs and food are very expensive.
Beautiful sheltered cove for swimming or sunbathing. Be aware if you have children in your group that there may be topless bathers there. I would also recommend water shoes if your feet are sensitive as the beach is literally covered in small shells; hence the name :) The is food and beverages available there but it's on the pricey side so depending on your finances, you may or may not wish to indulge. Water and scenery was lovely and it's probably one of the most sheltered beaches on the Island in terms of calm waters for swimming. Enjoy!
