See, and even walk on top of, Pont del Diable, a structure built by the Romans thousands of years ago. Originally designed to bring water to the ancient city of Tárraco (now Tarragona) from the Francolí River, this aqueduct is a lasting example of what the Romans accomplished. Walk along this structure on your own, or take a tour to learn more about its history. Part of the Archaeological Ensemble of Tarraco, which was added to UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites in 2000, this aqueduct is two levels high, reaching a maximum height of 27 m (89 ft) and a length of 249 m (817 ft). • Wow, just wow! Amazed at this Roman aqueduct, the state off preservation, and that we were able to walk all the way across it. Easily and cheaply reached from Town centre by public service bus (return from the same drop off stop)
  • Worth a visit. It’s free and has parking . It’s tucked away between several busy roads and with the smell of the pine forest first thing in the morning it’s as if you’ve been transported back 2000 years. Magical. There is also a cafe
