Trip Planner: Europe / Spain / Andalucia / Province of Seville / Seville / Setas de Sevilla (Metropol Parasol)
The largest wooden structure in the world, Setas de Sevilla (Metropol Parasol) stands 150 by 70 m (490 ft by 230 ft) over La Encarnación Square. Organized on four levels, the mushroom-like structure houses four different sites. View the Moorish and Roman remains on the lower level and the central market on the first level, for example. Panoramic terraces overlook the city on the second and third levels. This attraction is commonly known as the "Encarnación's mushrooms" due to its distinctive shape. Setas de Sevilla (Metropol Parasol) reviews
This had some interesting views and is relatively inexpensive. The architecture is neat, but you don’t really need to see that from above. Elevator ride takes you up to a undulating walkway above... more »
Just OK. Not expensive to enter. There is a ten minute video at the start displaying the sights and sounds of Seville. After that is you do a quick trip around the structure. It's very short. 5 mins..... more »
Well worth the walk here from our hotel 15 minutes away. Panoramic views available everywhere and rarely will the weather spoil it. A glorious day and nice to soak up the skylines of such an impressive city. Really central too and plenty to do in the location. Lots of independent shops and shopping options in the immediate area to help pass a morning or afternoon.
A very interesting and some say controversial piece of architecture. Great views back across the city. Worth a visit...it was 3 euros to go up on top. 5 stars for the view. Strange it has small steps on the sloping roof path considering there's only 17 steps to get to top of the Cathedral. ....surely a non slip material on here would have been more appropriate.
