The well-preserved castle stands alone, dominating the fertile plain near the town of Jabrin, making for a picturesque, postcard-like sight. Explore the maze-like chambers and courtyards of the walled castle, some of them elaborately decorated with carvings and painted ceilings, see the tomb of the late ruler, and gaze upon the scenic central courtyard and the surrounding plains from the top of the fortress.   • Less beautiful and less interesting than the fort of Nizwa, this fort nevertheless offers a very nice view from the roof. You can admire all the surroundings.
