At Voringsfossen, one of Norway's best-known waterfalls, view rushing water tumbling from a height of 182 m (597 ft). Find a spot to pull off Highway 7, the road that connects Oslo with Bergen, and follow the path that leads to the base of the waterfall. For a view from above, park outside the Fosslie Hotel (for a fee) and walk to the vantage point as you observe the deep canyon and forested mountains that surround the falls. You'll find multiple areas for hiking and picnicking nearby. Plan to see Voringsfossen and other attractions that appeal to you using our Maurset trip planner .

We went as part of a group tour starting out in Eidfjord. The waterfalls are amazing. Very nice walkways and viewing platforms. Safe to get to the edge and get incredible views. more »
You have to be there! From beautiful views until you feel dizzy. The weather is not important on condition, but definitely better when it rains heavily ... We recommend it!
Great waterfall. If you want to visit the base of the waterfall, be sure to consider at least 1:30 hour for the whole trip. Hiking footwear needed: The path is considered hard. If you're in a hurry, you can view it from above as well, although the view isn't as nice as below
