Paradise Valley Springs Wildlife Park
Take a walk among the treetops, feed the animals, and taste the pure spring water at Paradise Valley Springs Wildlife Park. Located just outside of Rotorua, this area of pristine nature makes a perfect spot for an outdoor excursion, with plenty of attractions to suit visitors of all ages. Established as a local trout sanctuary almost a century ago, the park now plays home to numerous native plant species as well as animals from all over the world. Many of these are cute and cuddly (including deer, sheep, wallabies, and rabbits), and you can even hand feed them with snacks available at the park's store. Less cuddly but certainly majestic, the resident lions live in a specially designed enclosure. Purchase tickets on site or book them online at a discount price. Our Rotorua trip itinerary planning website makes visiting Paradise Valley Springs Wildlife Park and other Rotorua attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

The family pass kept the kids (6 & 8)in the family engaged and entertained for nearly 2 hours. Their favourite thing was being up close to the lions. It was a good idea to get some of the food to feed the other animals - they loved the deer and piglets.

Simply amazing! It's almost like a mini zoo. Worth taking family and friends there for a days trip. Lion feeding was a nice experience and the guide was very informative. Overall great atmosphere and very friendly and kind team. If going on a sunny day then make sure to take water with you - nah!! Just kidding!! You don't need to, there is a natural spring oozing out of the mountain which is very safe to drink, so fill up and drink as much as you like. Plenty of animals to see and all the animals and really taken care of. Will surely make a trip there again.
