Beira Cathedral, Beira

#10 of 18 in Historic Sites in Mozambique
Built with stones from an old fortress, Beira Cathedral showcases the city's culture. You can attend a mass to soak in the feeling of unity amongst the local citizens. The architecturally alluring bright-white tower, built in the 1960s, is interestingly well kept. Nearby you'll find traditional resturaunts and gardens. • Beira apart from the lighthouse and the Cathedral there is more. Better the lighthouse but also modern and aseptic Cathedral is worth a visit if there is time.
