Observe a vast collection of ancient glass and ceramic pieces at Glassware and Ceramic Museum of Iran. The exhibition features works dating from 4000 BCE to modern day contemporary art. Originally the museum served as a private residence for a Persian family, until it became a museum in 1976. The artwork is featured in eight halls, each portraying different historical eras and civilizations. Most pieces come from the towns of Gorgan, Neishabur, Rey, and Kashan. You'll find a short-term exhibition here, featuring modern artists inspired by the permanent collection. Look for the museum store if you would like to purchase souvenir or travel items. Wonderful exhibit in a wonderfully restored building. I admit I was attracted to the Museum solely because of the beautiful building that houses it. But to my great surprise the exhibits were very high quality and professionally displayed. A must visit for anyone who is in Tehran. The museum is located in the traffic control region so use public transport. Lots of great restaurants and coffee shops around to visit afterwards.
An amazing place to see the beauty, history, glory and Persian art. Required time to pay a nice visit would be 1-2h. To see more pictures like what I put below please visit:
