At Vakil Bath, take a step back into the 18th century and--with a little help from wax figures--imagine how Persians would come here to relax, socialize, and take part in wedding ceremonies. Karim Khan, founder of the Zand Dynasty, built the traditional Persian-style bath as a part of the royal district in 1766. Notice the marble pools, glazed tile work, and depictions of plants, animals, and people. Throughout the baths, mannequins demonstrate the usual activities taking place here: chatting, massages, back scrubs, and wedding preparations. Look for a wax figure of Karim Khan preparing himself for the bath. Plan trip to Shiraz with our itinerary maker to find out where to go and what to do.

Amazing structures. Well kept bathhouse turned into an attractive museum that gives a clear idea about the way it was used in those long ago days. Must visit! more »
This was originally a public bath (and much more) and is now a museum. People gathered here to talk with each other. Some professions, such as dentists and barbers also worked in the hammam. In the hamam you could get a good scrub but at the same time it was used to prepare a girls for the upcoming marriage.
even due it's not the most remarkable place I've seen it's not far from karimkhan arc and lots of other historical places. it's like shooting two arrows at once.
