Part of the national heritage, Hasht Behesht Palace represents the city's only surviving palace from the Safavid era. Surrounded by a lush flower garden--which doubles as a public park--the octagonal mansion dates from around 1080 and served as a residence of one of the last Safavid princesses. Enter to see the interior: though in dire condition, it still features elaborate stucco work, as well as ceiling and wall paintings. Notice the marble pool, called the "pearl pond," under the central dome, which retains fragments of its original mosaic. Despite some external oversight the inside of the hall is wonderful. The mirrored hall has history ... The outdoor area is very beautiful, historical and worthy of an Empire
OK het is dan wel geen Persepolis maar het heeft wel de allure om vorsten en prinsen te ontvangen. That Sja Abbas did have taste and vision (despite a few nasty other traits he had). Worth a visit!
This is a really cool place with nice ceiling. The designs and paintings are masterpiece. When I went there for the first time, it was at night and was close, but this time I went during the day. I was surprised by everything that I saw there. Most part of the designs and paintings were gone, but you can imagine how wonderful and majestic was at first. I recommend you to visit this place. It is 10 minutes from Naghshe Jahan Square. You can walk there. I put some photos of this place...
