Snap a few unforgettable images of Bali's landscapes at Tegalalang Rice Terrace, a favorite stop for nature lovers, painters, and amateur photographers. Irrigated by traditional methods, these terraced rice paddies provide sustenance for the local farming population and draw international visitors interested in soaking up some of the timeless Balinese atmosphere. You can also visit a nearby village to pick up a few souvenir carvings and learn about the area's rich artistic heritage. The gorgeous greenery here serves as the iconic embodiment of Bali's lush, verdant interior. These picturesque rice paddies are a must visit, like the Taj in India or the Great Wall in China. more »

During our trip to Bali we hired a personal tour guide to show us around the island and take us to some of the best attractions in the area. During the tour we stopped at the Rice Fields that have multiple photo opportunities, at a cost. Rice is such a great part of their culture, this is something you should pass by to at least see and take a few pictures. For people who love to explore and hike, this is a great attraction to experience and also take some great photos of the beautiful scenery in the area. You can make this a quick stop or you can make this a couple hour stop, just depends on the group and how much you are trying to accomplish in the day.

The best thing about this place is "BALI SWING". Plus you will love to go at the top of this place. For that, you would have to trek a little. The soil is always wet here because you know it's a rice terrace. You can also do sky cycling which is fun and pumps a hell lot of adrenaline inside your body. We loved the simplicity and greenery of this place.
