  • We had just under two hours to kill, and decided to visit the Archaeological Museum. It was definitely the right choice! Fascinating building, with lots of smaller rooms with individual displays of fi...  more »
  • The Museum in the religious hospital houses some interesting findings of various kinds E.g. old everyday objects such as bowls or vases but also jewellery and statues/figurines. We found very nice, also the old courtyard and the garden because it is relatively cool there in the height of summer. Furthermore it is one I find very appropriate idea, to exhibit these finds in the even have old buildings. It's definitely worth seeing, and highly recommended for Geschichtsinterresierte.

  • Many items are not labeled. Some fall danger on the roads, so properly maintained the plant was not. Rather unconventional for a museum. The focus is on the Crusaders and the Hellenistic period. I was expecting more to the Minoan and bronze age. There were some supervisors, that some intrusive observing the visitor "stuck".

  • If you like history, this really is the place for you. We spent almost 3 hours going round the exhibits. It is incredibly good value if you buy the 4 site tickets for €10, other than the museum, it includes the Palace of the Grand Masters, the Church of Our Lady of the Castle & the Modern Art Museum, (the ticket is valid for several days), OR if you have an ISIC student card, it is all free!!!
  • A nice little museum, free entry for students (with student ID) but a pricey €12 for anyone else... Some interesting exhibits and plenty of artifacts, but little interaction and also easy to get lost or miss bits out
  • Nice museum with a good selection of artifacts. Stunning setting and a nice time away from the crowds in Old Town.
  • An amazing collection of archaeological items showing the ancient history of Rhodes. But perhaps more memorable is the astonishing building in which the collection is placed. With s visit just to experience what was once the Knight's hospital.
  • It is a great place if you are interested in ancient history. I learned a lot from reading the information that is on offer. It amazed me how artistic people were in the civilisations BC.
