Walhalla celebrates laudable and distinguished people and famous personalities throughout 2,000 years of German history, including politicians, sovereigns, scientists, and artists "of the German tongue." Designed by architect Leo von Klenze, the building was completed in 1842. It now contains 65 plaques and 130 busts of people. The museum overlooks the Danube, so consider taking a boat ride to catch the best views. Make your Donaustauf itinerary with Inspirock to find out what to see and where to go.

Great views over the Danube and the actual Walhalla building. Very grand building in the style of a Greek temple is pretty big so it will take some time to walk around it and the surrounding area. Parking cost 3€ and is very big so no problem finding a space. To enter the actual inside of Walhalla is an additional cost of 4.50€. There are also some minor food stalls and toilets that were clean and well maintained.
