Take a horseback ride to Salto El Limon, a 52 m (170 ft) waterfall. The scenic uphill ride to the waterfall (accompanied by a local guide), takes you across a rushing river and through lush green jungle. You'll take a break near the falls, as the guides tether the horses, and then you'll descend the trail that leads to the cascade. Admire the cascade as it plunges off a tall cliff and cool off in the natural pool at the waterfall's base before you head back. You can also hike to the falls by yourself. This is a beautiful waterfall and there are a few other small waterfalls on the way here and you could swim in all of them. There are multiple ways of accessing this location. There are at least three that I know of along the road so do your homework. Watch out for guys on motorcycles in the street or try to get you to go with them they are hustlers not official guides I wouldn’t recommend going with them. I do recommend going during the day early so that you’re leaving in the afternoon. You don’t want to be leaving here at night or be up in the mountains at night. Watch out for rain you definitely don’t want to get caught in the rain during this hike there is some very slick rocks and steep walking involved. You can hike in here by foot or you can go by horseback but if you go by horseback watch out the horses in the area are not well taken care of and they’re weak and may fall down. If you feel at risk get off the horse and walk. Wherever you park your car make sure that you don’t leave any valuable belongings or money inside. I recommend you don’t even come to this location with that on your body either. Wherever you park your car or whatever service you use to enter I would get a written invoice receipt that says that you have paid for the parking and for the round-trip. There are a few scams here that you wanna look out for. Generally your safe however they are always looking for more money as you know. This is a fantastic spot to visit and I highly recommend it.
