Nestled in gardens amidst a host of exotic plants, Chekhov House & Museum contains the original interiors and possessions of Anton Chekhov, a celebrated playwright and author of numerous short stories. The site dates back to 1898, when the writer decided to move here after his father's death. After decorating the modern white mansion and completing its gardens, Chekov wrote numerous prominent works in the house. You can still see his large coat in the cupboard, as well as other personal belongings. Check out the antique furniture and Ericsson telephone that the family used, and admire the rich architectural details. Pay particular attention to the intricately decorated arch above the main door. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Yalta holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Chekhov House & Museum and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

Мой второй отель в этой поездке находился в 100 метрах от Дома-музей А.П.Чехова, конечно я не могла не зайти. Chekhov, of course I could not stop. I rarely go to houses-museums (not particularly like), but this time I hooked, the merit in this first of all museum staff and a very good guide. The complex of the museum includes not a large cozy and quite specific house, several outbuildings and very well cared for not a large garden. In April everything is blooming and very, very beautiful. Definitely worth a visit.
I very much enjoyed the experience, and recommend all lovers of literature and history pay a visit!
A historic place recommended for visiting. Here you can independently or accompanied by an experienced guide to see the house, built under the control of Anton Pavlovich and planted trees, to visit inside the house (only as a part of the tour group), see the original things of the writer, plunge Into the atmosphere of that time.
