Sitting on bare cliffs above the bay, Sudak Fortress served as an almost impregnable defense wall and citadel over the course of ten centuries. The complex stretches across 27.9 hectares (69 acres), featuring massive, well-preserved walls, towers, and buildings. Dating back to the 6th century, the fortress bears marks of the Byzantine and Genoese architectural styles. Take a walk along the two lines of defense and tour the remaining towers. You'll also see a temple that was transformed from a mosque to an Orthodox church, then to a Catholic cathedral, and finally to an archeological museum. Wear comfortable shoes. Sudak Fortress Reviews
Местная экскурсия была интересной, но хотелось бы побольше информации. Так как история этой крепости очень увлекательная. Понравились фотографии крепости - до реконструкции, и после. Ну и конечно найд... more »The local tour was interesting, but I would like more information. Because the history of this fortress is very fascinating. When we came to the checkout, we were told that the price of the entrance is 600r. I ask them why it's on the site 200, and in fact 600? The young people did not want to answer us at all, they said "see all the information on the site". Already from a stranger...
При Украине вход был бесплатный. Вокруг крепости можно побродить, посмотреть на море на город с высоты. Сама крепость с набережной смотрится очень красиво. more »In Ukraine, the entrance was free. Around the fortress you can wander around, look at the sea on the city from a height. The fortress itself from the embankment looks very beautiful.
