Bronebashennaya beregovaya batareya №35, Sevastopol

4.8
#3 of 16 in Museums in Sevastopol
Dating back to 1913, features the ruins of one of the most modern and largest fortifications in the region from World War II. Today it displays weapons, soldiers' chambers, and memorabilia. This garrison was highly sophisticated for its time, armed with 400-500 men and two guns, which shot 471 kg (1,038 lb) shells up to 42 km (26 mi). Visit the memorial complex at the site to see the hospital rooms where wounded soldiers were treated, dark humid bedrooms, and war tunnels, all covered in broken concrete pieces and deformed metal. You'll see exhibits of photographs, as well as installations that depict the atmosphere of this place. • People did their best. The museum is very worthy. It was very interesting and sad. Bought tickets for 10 days on the Internet at 28.08. I came in 15 minutes. I reduce 1 point for the rudeness of the cashier and not very expressive story of the guide.

  • I can't understand those who gave this museum bad grades, but God bless them. I happened to have been there twice this summer. First with adults, doubting that children (10 and 12 years) should go, and then with children - because definitely worth it. With tickets really hard, but there were no paper lists (were in July 2019). It's 9.50. We stood in line, took tickets for 15.30. The queue is about 40-50 minutes. No more than 5 tickets are given in hand. Further to tears, goosebumps. I was very lucky that the first tour guide was Tatiana Nikolaevna - how she emotionally reported everything, it seemed to me that she was about to cry. These emotions, plus the atmosphere, plus the facts and a lump rose in the throat. And in the pantheon, I was already sobbing. And it's all free. That's why it's hard with tickets. The tour itself lasts about 1.5 hours. Every 20 minutes a group comes in. On the top, you can walk on the territory absolutely freely. Thanks to those who created this, who support it. It's a must-see. Sure
