Dja Faunal Reserve, Somalomo
Still largely untouched, Dja Faunal Reserve shelters many endangered species and covers over 5,000 sq km (1,930 sq mi). A World Heritage Site, the reserve provides a safe home for apes, elephants, and chimpanzees living freely in the wilderness. There should be park guides and wait with it, and you sleep in a tent or in a Pygmies-cabin! The jungle is huge, with rivers, huge lianas and giant trees, and there are elephants, gorillas and chimpanzees. In any case, the visit takes several days.
