Ruin · Hidden Gem · Tourist Spot
Part of the Angkor complex, Preah Khan consists of a Buddhist sanctuary surrounded by rectangular galleries. The 12th-century ruins enclosing an area of 56 hectares (140 acres) remain mostly unrestored and covered by vegetation. As you roam the carved corridors and walk through a myriad of doors, try to find hidden statues representing various scenes from Buddhist tradition. • The biggest temple in the big circle group of Angkor complex. The massive temple offers a lot of things to check out, where it has many unique sculptures, carvings n even little temple ensemble to the Roman or Greek castle. Definitely, a must visit temple to check out despite its big complex as it can be tiring to walk through.
  • What a fascinating place. The scale, the amount of sculptures, the statues on the bridge, are all amazing. The rubbles within the temple gives extra mystery feels. Restorations are minimal. Definitely top 3 of Angkor for me. Oh did I mention the tree that grows on the wall?
