The 11th century temple stands partially in ruins, made of laterite and carved sandstone bricks, but it was once a great shrine built by king Suryavarman I dedicated to Shiva and Vishnu. Mythological scenes cover the walls, but the gold statue of Muchalinda--who has seven heads sheltering Buddha--stands as the main attraction.
