King Ferdinand of Romania commissioned Palace and Botanical Gardens of Balchik for his wife, Queen Marie, in 1926. Its architecture is a blend of Balkan and Asian styles. The main building's minaret tops a Christian chapel. The park's collection of large cactus species was the second of its kind in Europe and features flowers brought from various parts of the world. Other attractions include residential villas, a smoking hall, wine cellar, monastery, holy spring, water mill, and chapel.   • Interesting place, beautiful plants, views. For wine tasting, you can buy a bottle, also in PLN! The palace itself made us the smallest impression (interior), but it is worth to enter the maze of rock to the top to admire the views
