Find a secluded and restful place at Smuggler's Cove, a calm, sheltered inlet beach. To reach this spot at the western end of Tortola, you'll need to maneuver a bumpy, unpaved road. The beach uses this relative inaccessibility to its advantage, offering a feeling of calm and seclusion rare among the island's coastal areas. • In March 2019 I was on Tortola and wanted to visit the very well rated Beach Smuggler's Cove. When we arrived at about 10:30 o 'clock this one was already very well attended. No Sign Of Loneliness! The Beach has probably suffered extremely after the last Hurricanes. In any Case, the Dream beach pictures rested Here are not to be found. All Palm Trees are gone, only flat Mangroves, no Shade! If you Go into the Water, you should have beach shoes with you as a matter of Urgency. Everything is full of dead, shady Coral Pieces, Fine sandy beach is probably History at the moment. Even in the Water only dead Corals and large Stones. Is absolutely no Fun to swim here. Snorkelling can be forgotten as I haven't seen a single Fish-as well as Without Corals. There is a lot of Rubbish lying around on the Beach-among other things, someone had burned a Mattress. Charred Mattress pieces and Feathers from The Spring core are still lying around. Don't Be fooled by the great Pictures that can be seen here. Tortola caught the last Hurricane heavily, unfortunately that can be seen everywhere here. The Beach is definitely not worth any Effort.

  • Such a beautiful beach with a great view of Jost Van Dyke. Beach chairs, rafts, and other water items are there for use. As well as Nigel's!  more »
