Gaborone Dam, Gaborone

#4 of 7 in Parks in Gaborone
Dam · Nature / Park
Pay a visit to Gaborone Dam, a dam supplying water to the city of Gaborone. The dam, constructed in 1964, is an earthcore fill structure that captures water from the Ngotwane River. You can participate in a range of entertaining water activities at the dam, with an avid yachting scene on the northern side of the lake, a fishing club, and a park containing playgrounds and boating facilities. Keep your eyes peeled for a range of different exotic birds, or go windsurfing or jogging in the area. Swimming is prohibited because of crocodiles in the dam. Gaborone Dam is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , international travel planner Edition.
