We took an expensive taxi all the way to the fort. Arrived at 11am. Signs said Fort opens at 10am. No cars in the parking lot. All entrances had locked gates. We feel the Fort owes us for our lost tim... more »
In the heritage city of St. George, the fort is historic in nature and well kept for it's age. Views of the sea at @180 degrees and the through which most of the ships enter Bermuda can be seen. There is an entry fee to the fort. It is around a 5-7 min walk from the st. George bus terminal. Have time in hand when seeing the fort if you like history, there are a few things to read.
Cool place to walk around, nice beaches on both sides. Not very expensive. About a 15 minute walk from the bus stop in town.
