The former residence of Austrian Prince Eugene of Savoy, Belvedere Palace represents a historic complex housing important Austrian art. The two Baroque palaces, Upper and Lower Belvedere, are set in a park among decorative fountains and Baroque sculptures. Each palace is home to collections of expressionism, impressionism, contemporary art, medieval art, and Baroque art. The Upper Palace is best known for the Klimt Room, where you'll find an impressive exhibit of the works of Gustav Klimt, including "The Kiss." In addition to the two palaces, visit the orangery and the palace stables for an additional glimpse into Austrian art. Belvedere Palace Reviews
Rien que pour le baisé de Klimt le belvédère vaut le déplacement, mais le lieu, la vue sur vienne les autres tableaux de Klimt et autres peintres il faut aller au belvedere more »Just for the kiss of Klimt the gazebo is worth the trip, but the place, the view of the other paintings of Klimt and other painters must go to the Belvedere
Both the castle itself and the outdoor facilities are very well maintained. The audio guide is affordable and helps you learn some background.
The garden is free to walk around. The views are nice. The garden is nice. The ticket line is short. We bought our tickets online. The locker in the underground floor is free but we had to insert 2 Euros for deposit. The interior is beautiful. The paintings are nice. We had good experience at the Belvedere Palace.
Absolutely beautiful palace, gardens, very nice cafe, such friendly staff everywhere you go! Be prepared to take your time, we spent hours there. The main collection including Klimt is at the Upper Belvedere. It’s brilliant. The marble hall is of outstanding beauty!!! Coffee shop was a delight after long time walking around the grounds and the palace. The prices are quite high for coffee but it’s totally worth it, the quality is very good.
